Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of Communitee. By using the app, you agree to them.
Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Communitee ("we", "our", "us") and govern your access to and use of the Communitee app and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Who Can Use Communitee
Communitee is provided to members of participating golf clubs. To use the Service you must:
- Be a member of a club that uses Communitee, or be invited by one
- Be at least 16 years of age, with parental or guardian consent if you are under 18
- Provide accurate registration details and keep them up to date
Your Account
You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login details secure. Do not share your credentials with anyone. Please tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
Acceptable Use
When using Communitee, you agree not to:
- Break any applicable law, or use the Service for unlawful purposes
- Harass, bully, threaten, or abuse other members
- Post content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, or otherwise objectionable
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone
- Send spam, advertising, or unsolicited bulk messages
- Attempt to access, disrupt, or interfere with the Service or its security
- Collect or harvest other members' information without their consent
Your Content
You keep ownership of the messages, photos, and other content you share on Communitee. You grant us a limited licence to host, store, and display that content for the purpose of operating the Service. You are responsible for the content you post and confirm that you have the right to share it. We and club administrators may remove content that breaches these Terms.
Club Administration and Moderation
Each club appoints administrators who can manage channels, moderate content, and manage membership within their club. Administrators act on behalf of their club. We provide the tools that make moderation possible but are not responsible for day-to-day moderation decisions made by a club.
Third-Party Services
Communitee relies on third-party providers for messaging infrastructure, notifications, and app distribution through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your use of those platforms is also subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.
Availability and Changes
We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we provide it on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time to maintain, improve, or secure the Service.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Communitee is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Suspension and Termination
You may stop using Communitee and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm other members, your club, or Communitee.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date below and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes relating to them.
